Yep… we’re going to ENGLAND!

In March 2011 Meredith and I decided to take some steps toward something we’ve wanted to do for a long time - go to England! Well it’s June now and a lot has happened.
We started by having conversations with everyone we knew who was in the UK or had lived there before. We got some great advice from some veteran missionaries to Scotland, which was to knock on every door and see which one God opened. Well that’s exactly what we did and here’s what happened…
We connected with the area director over Northern Europe for Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM). He told us that a lot had changed recently in the UK and that the UK Assemblies of God (AoG) and its new superintendent were open to missionaries from the USA coming to help with the spread of the gospel to the British! This was so exiting to us because we had always been told that the US Assemblies of God was not allowed to send missionaries to the UK.
We were approved to be missionaries in Mid-May so on June 11 we headed to Springfield, MO to start our Missionary Training (PFO). It was an incredible time of learning, growing, and spending time with other missionaries soon to be on the field.
While we were there we also got to experience our two boys being able to sleep in the same room together (something we didn’t think would ever be possible)! They actually adapted better than we thought they would to all the changes in their schedules, routines, and environment. Sometimes it’s easy to forget how resilient children are…
All in all we really had a blast at PFO and we can’t wait to reconnect with some of the missionary friends that we made while we were there. Now we head to the next step in our journey, raising support! Here’s how you can join our financial support team:

Thanks for reading and pray for us to be able to raise our support quickly so we can get to England as soon as possible.
